OPERATION OF A DRONE LIGHT SHOW
The drones used for light shows weigh less than 1 kg and use 3D graphics and animation software to coordinate movement and lighting, ensuring perfect synchronisation and execution of choreography. In this way, complex patterns, striking figures and even moving animations and three-dimensional effects can be created. In this way, stories can be told or client-specific messages can be conveyed in an impactful and visually appealing way.
The number of drones used in a show determines the resolution and detail of the images. A higher number of drones allows for a higher pixel density, resulting in sharper and more defined images. This means that more complex figures and animations can be depicted.
The exhibitions are conducted under the strictest safety standards, covering two levels:
- Aviation safety
- Ground safety
This type of drone shows always take place at night. Depending on the time of year, the times can vary from 18:00 hours in winter time, or at any time until dawn.
MAXIMUM AVIATION SAFETY AT EVERY SHOW
At UMILES, safety is our top priority, implementing the necessary measures and protocols to guarantee the protection of people, property and the environment during each flight.
Among our services, we have a Security Department specialised in the analysis of the suitability of each show, in charge of planning, coordination and execution. In addition, we manage all permits and authorisations related to air safety, facilitating the process for our clients.
We are in charge of coordinating the flight zones and safety systems for our drones. This includes the management of the necessary procedures to obtain the aerial regulations and permits according to the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) and the Barcelona City Council or any city council in Catalonia.
The drones are equipped with a device that prevents them from leaving the designated airspace, maintaining the required safety distance at all times, occupying the established spaces in a precise and coordinated manner, always under the supervision of our operations teams, guaranteeing safety and precision during the show.

COST OF A DRONE SHOW IN BARCELONA
The price of a drone show varies according to the selected theme and the number of drones used.
Shows start with swarms of 120 drones, up to 1,000 drones.
We currently offer two types of shows for events:
- Themed: We have predefined designs.
- Tailor-made and exclusive shows: We design a story based on a specific need.
HOW LONG IS A DRONE SHOW?
The drone show we offer at UMILES is highly versatile and customisable according to the client’s specific preferences and requirements.
We do not impose a strict time limit, which allows us to create a show that perfectly fits the desired time.
On average, the duration of the show is more than 10 minutes. However, combinations of drone swarms can be used to extend the duration up to twice as long.

UMILES Drone Light Show’s team of drone pilots has carried out operations in more than 15 countries, including Chile, Denmark, Cuba, Andorra and Portugal.
